Kite Padrinho, a non-profit, empowers children (12-18 years old) in the fishermen village of Bitupita, Brazil. Our aim is to nurture dreams of becoming kite professionals/world champions. Padrinho, meaning godfather, seeks godparents to donate kite equipment and funds. Our vision is for all these children to become Kite Padrinho students, receiving free kite lessons and kite material, English, and math classes. They’ll also have opportunities for apprenticeships in hospitality, as kite instructors or drivers, tapping into the growing tourism sector. Bitupita, devoid of tourism and reliant on fishing, sees many youth succumbing to substance abuse. Join us in making a lasting impact, give your kite-material a second life, and the kids from Bitupita a better chance.
